You have every reason to be proud of your artwork, but posting 2-3 megabyte images at 4000×6000 pixels is a bad idea. On my dedicated T1 it takes as much as 30 seconds to load the files. Less than 50% of the people in the US have broadband, and few people will wait a couple of minutes for an image to load.
At very least, consider dropping the size of the image size to the 980 pixel width defined in your CSS files, then linking that to the full size artwork. That will drop the file size by 90%, your pages will load ten times as fast without any visible effect on the layout, and people who want to see the full size art will still be able to get it.
